Booking Policy

Reservations are accepted two months in advance at 10:00am HKT. Book Now.

Reservations & Walk-ins

Reservations are for dine-in only and each guest will be required to order one tasting menu. Menu sharing/splitting is not permitted.

Credit Card Information / Deposit for Reservations

Credit card information is required to secure a reservation at the main dining hall or bar counter.

A 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation at the private dining room and the full deposit amount is applied to your final bill. Taking a deposit helps us guarantee your reservation, prevent no-shows or last-minute cancellations, and create a predictable and steady flow of patrons, which in turn, allows us to offer a great dining experience for you.

Running Late?

If you are running late for your reservation, please call us at +852 2693 3198. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your confirmed reservation time and have not contacted the restaurant to let us know, your seats may be offered to walk-in guests or other pending guests on waitlist.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If your booking party reduces in the number of guests, please notify us 72 hours in advance of your confirmed reservation or you will be charged (a) tasting menu for the absent guest(s).

If you need to cancel your reservation, we require a minimum of 72 hours in advance notice.

Late-cancellation within 72 hours of your confirmed booking or no-show will incur a charge of $1000HKD per person.

For Private Dining Room bookings:

If you need to cancel your reservation, we require a minimum of 7 days in advance notice and we will issue a refund of your deposit.

In the event of any cancellation after the deposit has been made, Stripe will charge you 5% of your deposit as processing fee. The restaurant will not be able to support this charge on your behalf.

No show and/or last-minute cancellation will result in the loss of the deposits.

Please note that the same policy applies to any COVID-related cancellations.

Weather arrangement

If Hong Kong Observatory announces Tropical Cyclone Signal 8 or above on the day of visit, all guests possess the right to reschedule their bookings should the No.8 signal or above is in effect two hours prior to the reservation time.

Allergy & Dietary Restrictions

We will happily accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions as long as we are informed at least 48 hours in advance. Our menu focuses on seafood and meat and therefore, we cannot accommodate vegan, vegetarians, no seafood and no nuts at this moment.

Corkage Policy

Our corkage policy applies to bottles of wine and/or sake, we do not allow outside spirits to be consumed in the restaurant.

We offer a “bring one of your own, buy one off our list at $1000HKD and above” as our corkage. Limit 1 bottle (750ml) per 2 guests. Magnums are considered as two bottles.

Cakeage Policy

We charge a cake fee of $288HKD + 10% service charge per cake brought in. We ask that you pack the cake with dry ice as we have limited refrigeration space and we may not be able to accommodate large-sized cakes.

Payment Methods & Service Charge

We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay and American Express. Please note only one card will be accepted for large booking payment.

A 10% service charge will be added to the final bill.

Dress Code & Baby Friendly

We ask guests come dressed smart casual and comfortable.

Children 12 years old and above are welcomed with participation of tasting menu. We cannot accommodate anyone younger than 12 years old at this moment.


There is no parking available outside the restaurant. There is Wilson Parking structure located nearby at 123 Hollywood Road and metered parking at 69 Jervois Street and 40-44 Bonham Strand.


Amid concerns about Covid-19, we assure that everyone’s health & safety is our top priority. If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone that has been travelling outside of Hong Kong in the last 14 days, we recommend that you either cancel, or reschedule your reservation for a later date. By dining in with us, you are voluntarily agreeing to our terms and policies. In the case of disputes, Whey reserves the right of final decision.
